"You're thinking about this all wrong."

School levy did not pass. Bummer.
I think it's because people are thinking about it all wrong. Like George Bailey said in "It's a Wonderful Life." (see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Er69b4HMl8 )




See the thing about this whole idea of raising our taxes to help our schools benefits everyone. Your money isn't just going to the schools - your money is in my kid, and that kid over there and that other kid. This money would have improved our schools to make our community better. People look at schools when considering a move. Your property values are affected.

A couple of hundred dollars a year would have gone a long way.
